My Intro Snippit:
Hi, my name is Mello and I am part of team beeyou. I was fortunate to have been selected as one of the winners of the mind game contest #1 by @jaycee7viral. I am excited to pay forward some of the winnings of $1 SBD plus 50% of the SBD earning from this contest (I know it’s not much, but it’s a lot for a minnow like me 😊).
Intro to this contest:
It’s that time of year where friends get together to watch the biggest football game of the year. 2018 Super Bowl LII is a rematch of 2005 Super Bowl XXXIX between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots. The Super Bowl is not just a football game anymore, it has morphed into a social event of hanging out, BBQing, eating, drinking, wagering, and watching the muti-million dollar commercials.
An annual tradition of my work places is a Super Bowl block pool which includes a small investment from each participant ($10 for each block) in exchange for four opportunities to win hundreds of dollars for quarters 1-3 and the final score of the game.
This week I will host a similar but FREE version of the 2018 Super Bowl LII block pool contest.
Come join the fun!
How to play the game:
There are 100 blocks available. After a block is selected, it is no longer available to the next player. Each player can select 2 unselected blocks. After all the blocks have been claimed, it is time to randomly assign the numbers 0-9 to each column and row heading using this website: https://draftkit.com/assets/pages/free-box-game-number-generator.html. Now each square represents a specific score in the game based on the column and row numbers.
A winner will be determined at the end of the 1st quarter, 2nd quarter, 3rd quarter, and Final Game score. The winner is determined by looking at the last number in each team’s score, and then matching those numbers on the grid and seeing which square intersects those two numbers.
Here is an example of how you would win if the score is Eagles 27, Patriots 24. The last number for the Eagles is 7, and the last number for the Patriots is 4. The square on the grid that has the Eagles with a number of 7, and Patriots score of 4, would be the winner.
Contest rules:
- An upvote is greatly appreciated but not required
- A resteem is greatly appreciated but not required
- Reply with your 2 block code selections (comments and insights are appreciated too)
- I will try my best to update the list of selected block codes at the end of each day so that you do not select the same codes. For best results please review previous selections by pressing Ctrl + F to search the blog for the block codes that you want before making your selections.
- If you select an unavailable block and I am not able to notify you by the time the contest entries are finalized, your selection will not count.
- All entries must be submitted by Saturday 2/3/2018, 12:00 PM EST.
- Payouts will be distributed within 24 hours after the blog payout (2/8/2018 10:00PM EST)
I will post an updated picture of the available block codes before the end of each day (11:59 PM EST). If editing consumes too much bandwidth, I will post the updated picture by replying to the first post so that the updated list is at the top of all the comments.
One contest can support 50 participants. If there is a bigger turnout and there are more participants than blocks available (this would be awesome), I will happily start a second contest to accommodate everyone with the caveat that there is enough time and participants for me to set up the second contest on Friday, 2/2/2018 12:00 PM EST
Best of luck to ALL. Enjoy Super Bowl LII and be safe.
Please note: I realized I forgot to include the distribution of the $1 SBD, so here is the revised payouts.
• 1st quarter = 10% of the SBD earnings + $0.20 SBD
• 2nd quarter = 10% of the SBD earnings + $0.20 SBD
• 3rd quarter = 10% of the SBD earnings + $0.20 SBD
• Final score = 20% of the SBD earnings + $0.40 SBD

*Starting from the top of the comment list, I added two more blocks to each contestant that did not have four total blocks.
