The Youtube Outreach Contest is a plan to incentivize word of mouth about Hive in Youtube comments across various topics and countries and coordinate between many communities across Hive to maximize effectiveness.
We want to target small to medium size content creators comment section in order to spread the word about Hive! I actually found steemit through YouTube comments and I know a ton of other old steemians discovered it the same way.
Our goal is to make a Hive related post the top comment on many videos across Youtube, and in the process grow each local community as well as various communities around Hive.

We want to reward the most active participants and the best comments on youtube videos that mention Hive.

- 45% beneficiary rewards for the next Youtube Outreach Contest post
- +5% beneficiary rewards on ALL @crossculture posts for 2 weeks

- 15% beneficiary rewards for the next Youtube Outreach Contest post

2-5 runners up will receive 5% of 2-3 @crossculture posts + upvotes
Participants will:
- comment on youtube videos with real and meaningful comments that quickly mention hive.blog or 3speak.online etc. at the end of the comment.
- Drop a link to the video they commented on in our #youtube-chat and share their youtube username so we can find their comment
- Click on other links in the channel and look for other users comments to upvote those comments
- Reach out to their friends to join the initiative
Tips and guidelines
- Please choose videos with 20-100 comments
- The newer the better
- 2-5 youtube comments on different videos a day is ideal, more than that may make it hard for others to "thumbs up" all your comments
- If you want to represent a specific community (Hive PH, Indonesia, DIY, anime, Hive Naija etc.) let us know in the chat and feel free to target videos about such countries or topics.
- The more sincere and interesting the comment, the better
- Comments should be addressed to the video creator but our main goal is to draw the attention of the viewers.
- Comments should mention Hive.blog or your favorite front-end (and if you'd like a specific community) , but please don't push too hard. I recommend mentioning the community aspect and not even mentioning the monetization, the will find out about it if they visit to check it out. This is your call.
- Example: 2-5 sentence comment followed by: "By the way, you seem like you'd really like Hive, it's a more community oriented blogging/video platform, we even have a community called Natural Medicine for posts like yours."
- Feel free to comment on videos you watch anyway or target specific topics.
How we will choose the winners
- Quality of comments
- Amount of comments (5 max. per day)
- ability to raise awareness about this contest and get people to join (feel free to create your own incentivization methods)
- communication and teamwork with other people involved in this outreach

This isn’t just a contest, we hope to draw more users and investors and raise the price of Hive so if you have ideas about how to better coordinate or incentivize this project, please share your ideas and we can make adjustments next time.
