No Commands for this optional stage - only gobbo's!
After getting by that henchy chick, you make your way over to the port, only to find that it's largely deserted. The only things around are the dock and the sight of a ship that is familar to IBT veterans -- the S.S. Meteora. The futuristic ship is here to take you all to the final boss and their castle across the water.
Once you're all on board, the ship departs from the dock and heads towards the boss's castle. One of the veteran heroes leads the group to a large room on the main deck where previous Stage 6s have played out. As you all enter the room, you expect to see some cages, some maimed Gobbos, and a game to be played -- and your intuition turns out to be correct.
Against one wall you can see cages -- some are empty, while others hold balled-up, maimed Gobbos that are still alive. In the center of the room you see a larger cage that seems to double as a contraption of some sort. On opposite ends of this cage are what appear to be BFG 9000 replicas with balled-up Gobbos already loaded into their muzzles. The BFG replicas seem to be connected to red buttons outside the cage. Next to one of the red buttons is what seems like a miniature vending machine, so you decide to check that out. On the mini-machine, you see a sticker with the following text:
Gambling Gobball Rules
Would you like to play a game? If so:
- 1. Insert 1 coin as your wager.
- 2. Push the red button to launch Gobbo.
- 3. Two dead Gobbos pay 4-1. Any other outcome loses.
A picture of the coin to be used is shown on the instructions, and it looks identical to the banked life points that you have been collecting since the start of your adventure...
"Piyo."

You look up and see that on the other side of the large cage, Chick Norris is standing on top of the button connected to the BFG replica over there after having just pressed it. You then hear a pre-recorded voice say, "Game beginning in 10... 9... 8..." Looks like you need to decide quickly whether or not you want to play -- the odds may not be in your favor, but the potential rewards of a victory could mean the difference between ultimate glory and utter shame. Care to gamble with Gobbos?
Special Rules For This Stage
First things first -- this stage is optional. However, just like all the other stages, there is a STEEM prize to be split amongst all players who succeed on their first attempt. (Unlike the other stages, if you play you get only one attempt.)
Chick Norris is the "dealer". You should see a @gobbo summon and roll as the first comment to this post, which will be replied to by either @lordnigel or @doughtaker with a picture of Chick Norris and confirmation of the official roll. Whatever number Chick Norris rolls for the Gobbo, that's the number you must __match__ on your Gobbo roll in order to kill off both Gobbos and win the stage.
Items have no effect on this stage. You must roll a perfect match to win, and you must do so with a Gobbo summon of your own.
These are the only possible outcomes on this stage:
- You skip the stage (nothing happens).
- If you lose the stage, you score -1 banked life point.
- If you win the stage, you score +4 banked life points and share in the STEEM prize for this stage. (Success here does not count towards the flawless victories required to gain access to the special spell.)
If you comment that you're skipping this stage, you can't change your mind later. If you start playing the boss stage first, you are also considered to have skipped this stage. In either case, if you try to roll here after skipping, your roll will be rejected.
Good luck!
NOTE: If one or more bots bug up and as a result more than one Gobbo post is created from a single call for Gobbo, then only the first one counts for whoever summoned Gobbo.
