This week is the 146th British Open (The Open) at Royal Birkdale. That means it's time for another CONTEST! The prize pool is guaranteed to be $5 SBD or higher! All dependent on levels of pariticipation and quality of upvotes.
We at wakeupsheeps will be running our first golf tournament on steemit. In real life, I've run hundreds of golf tournaments, back when I was a club pro. This will be the second tournament on steemit, so let's show some support!
The Rules:
Pick Three players from the field. There is a link at the bottom with all the players that qualified.
Get your picks in by this Thrusday morning, before 6:00 am BST (local time). Once the first player has teed off, no further entries can be made.
Your reply to this post must include #royalbirkdale and the three players you've chosen(first and last name), to be eligible. As a tiebreaker, predict Phil Mickelson's opening round score.
One entry per person.
Weighting of results - The champion golfer will be worth 1000 points. Subtract 50 points for each place down the leaderboard for the top 20 and ties. All players outside of the top 20, that made the cut, will receive 50 points minus 2 for each place further down the leaderboard. Example, 21st place will get 48 points.
Combined total points of your three golfers will determine the winners.
There are no restrictions to your entry in terms of following my account, resteeming or upvoting, however, the bigger your upvote towards the contest, the bigger the prize pool!
The Prizes:
100% of SBD generated by this post will be given out as the prize money. If the pool fails to reach $5 SBD, I will kick in the difference. If it eclipses $5 SBD, then I won't.
Payouts will be made to the top three contestants: 1st - 50%, 2nd - 30% and 3rd - 20%.
Tournament results will be posted on Sunday, after the competition.
Payouts will occur directly after the post pays out.
