Josh Sigurdson reports from Smith's in Las Vegas, a grocery store which is part of the Kroger chain as they cut open hours and limit sales on necessities.
Despite precautions, the store has still sold out as of filming of water, toilet paper and flour as well as seeing its produce section, canned food section and meat section almost emptied.
People shouldn't panic but they should always be prepared and unfortunately so many didn't get the memo when we called for people to be prepared over the past 8 years.
With the stock market crashing and the spread of coronavirus, we are living in very historic times. We will not soon forget what we've seen these past few weeks and it's likely going to get a lot worse before it gets better with the Federal government declaring a national state of emergency and countless countries shutting down entirely.
Is there a lot of unwarranted fear? Yes. But some is warranted and if people were to be a lot more independent and self sustainable rather than completely dependent on the supply chain and government, this situation would go down a lot differently.
