Last Monday I challenged you all to count the beans in the awesome mug (@saffisara sent me) to the right in Count the coffee beans to win 10 Steem post.
Now I will accept that my choice of vessel for this round made it a bit difficult, a see through vessel gives you far more scope to accurately guess the potential number of beans. And I didn't measure the size of the mug, which would have helped a little bit more. So basically this became a near impossible guessing game..but still fun right?
The actual number of beans inside the mug is......drum roll.......1080 The Cuban coffee beans are not a peaberry, but no maragogype (elephant bean) either - they are just over medium size for a coffee bean and take up more space then you would think in the mug.
How many people got the answer right? Well technically (that's actually) nobody came close, in fact I'm going to have to open up the leeway either side of the correct answer by a wide margin to get a few winners.
The closest and No. 1 winner is @squishysquid with 958 Beans - congratulations that was a very close guess only 122 beans out.
Seeing as this did become a bit of a random guessing game, to give a few more people the chance at the prize I made the tolerance 200 either side - so 1280 or 880. With this in mind we have the following runners up:-
@thekittygirl with 1242 only 162 beans out
@nikolina with 1234 (hey, how did you know my password for everything?) only 154 beans out
@steliosfan with 1267 only 187 beans out
@kimmysomelove42 with 1242 only 162 beans out
I do feel like @squishysquid deserves a little bit more for getting so close compared to anyone else, so I have added to the reward fund so I can split the reward more fairly seeing as I made this really very difficult.
@squishysquid receives 5 Steem for first place.
Runners up get 3 Steem each
It doesn't end there though, so many people took the time to join in the game and leave a comment with an answer - and interaction on here as we all know is key. So in recognition of our wonderful active Steemians who are still working hard every day, leaving comments and supporting posts, every person who left a comment but did not win will be getting a 1 Steem reward in their wallet for taking the time to comment - thank you all for making the Steem blockchain an active engaging place.
