It has been 6 months since I posted the first of the COVID19 posts. March 13, 2020 is when Trump declared a state of emergency for the United States and things really started changing in my daily life.
March 12th- All church meetings suspended worldwide
Today, March 13, 2020 we had our first church meeting in person in 6 months!
It was so wonderful to see people I have grown to love over the years of worshiping and serving with them.
ASU started on August 20, 2020. An obvious concern is the mass number of people living and working at ASU and the spread of the virus.
15,000 students were signed up to live on campus as of July 31, 2020. source Combined with the number of employees (17,000) most who come to campus at least once a week. That is a lot of people coming together!
The university had 397 known COVID-19 cases out of 15,310 tested since July 31, 2020. AZ Central. On Friday I recieved an email for random testing. ASU is working really hard to keep the students and employees safe and provide a quality education at the same time.

While there is a lot of differing ideas on what is the best way to continue during the pandemic. I am glad that ASU started the school year with online and in person options and that we are moving forward instead of living at home in fear.
While we are still required to wear face coverings in public places and practice social distancing I feel that I have more structure back into my life with going to campus for work 5 days a week. I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of appointments I have with students over Zoom. It's great.
As for my personal life I sold my home. There were many reasons to sell right now and I am happy to have made it through the process, during a pandemic too!

At the beginning of the crisis I was so interested to know what was happening in other parts of the world and thought some might like to know about things here in Arizona.
On March 13, 2020 I posted Times of change and uncertainty. A couple of days after the World Health Organization announced that COVID-19 is officially a pandemic and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey declared a state of emergency.
On April 14, 2020 I posted Share My World: Thoughts on COVID19 about working from home, ASU moving to online instruction and some of the alerts and numbers of cases.
On May 14, 2020 I posted Monthly COVID19 update about wearing masks, social distancing and graduation online.
On June 19, 2020 I posted My life amid the Coronavirus about my second trip to Utah, a visit from Sara Quinney Jones, the killing of George Floyd and Black Lives Matter and how masks are now mandatory in Arizona.
On July 13, 2020 I posted COVID19 Monthly Journal about all the zoom meetings, question about ASU in the fall, how I was doing a lot of family history work and my new stylish face coverings.
On August 14, 2020 I posted Community of Care named after ASU's campaign response to COVID19, which also includes testing for all students and staff and daily check ins, my awesome friends that I am connecting with via Marco Polo, and a family trip to Glacier National Park in Montana.
