The true goal of a Christian is to come to enjoy God. According to the Gospel of John 1: 4 and 4: 6, He is life, and I cannot enjoy God unless I learn to enjoy life.
None of us can enjoy God if we are concerned that He is angry with us most of the time because of our sins.
Jesus came to free us from the wrong fear we have regarding our relationship with our heavenly Father. We must be relaxed in his presence. We need reverent fear, the kind of fear that elicits respect, honor, and obedience.
But we must cleanse our hearts and get rid of the idea that God is angry with us. According to His Word, He is full of mercy and compassion, and slow to anger (Neh 9:17).
Psalm 139 states that before we were formed in our mother's womb, God already knew us! He knows the things that you and I will do wrong in the future that we have no idea about at this time. It is not sin that stops us, but unbelief!
God has provided enough for our failures, but He can do nothing for our greatest failure. Do you know why? Because our biggest failure is not believing what He told us. It is up to us to believe you. He does the rest, but it is our decision to choose between life and death, belief and doubt, joy and sadness.
