The cord is fixed in the two end cubes with a round wooden rod (5mm diameter). To do this, the cord is pushed through the straight hole in the end pieces. The round rod is now driven in through the side hole with a hammer as far as it will go. The remainder of the rod that protrudes gets ground off after the cord is fixed.

Die Schnur wird in den beiden Endwürfeln mit einem Rundstab aus Holz (5mm Durchmesser) fixiert. Die Schnur wird hierfür durch das gerade Loch der Endstücke geschoben. Durch die seitliche Bohrung wird nun der Rundstab mit einem Hammer bis auf Anschlag hineingetrieben. Der überstehende Rest des Rundstabes wird anschließend abgeschliffen.

In the last step, the cord can be cut off and the hole can be closed with the rod again.

I used sunflower oil here to protect the wood.

Als letzter Schritt kann die Schnur nun abgeschnitten werden und mit dem Rundstab auch dieses Loch verschlossen werden.

Als Holzschutz habe ich hier Sonnenblumenöl verwendet.
