Do You Think Science And Philosophy Should Be Connected?
<p class="">So I thought of trying polls on @discutio for the first time since I got to know that it became available. So I make this poll because of all the Quantum Mechancis related content I've been going through. </p><p>You could try some related old articles from me below:</p><p><a href="https://steemit.com/philosophy/@vimukthi/relational-quantum-mechanics-solution-for-the-paradox-of-the-ship-of-theseus-with-a-touch-of-zen-and-cryptocurrency" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://steemit.com/philosophy/@vimukthi/relational-quantum-mechanics-solution-for-the-paradox-of-the-ship-of-theseus-with-a-touch-of-zen-and-cryptocurrency</a></p><p><a href="https://steemit.com/spirituality/@vimukthi/an-account-of-personal-realizations-after-meditating-for-over-an-our-and-the-things-it-clarified-for-me-about-the-world" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://steemit.com/spirituality/@vimukthi/an-account-of-personal-realizations-after-meditating-for-over-an-our-and-the-things-it-clarified-for-me-about-the-world</a></p><p><a href="https://steemit.com/blog/@vimukthi/philosophical-riddle-challenge-one-of-the-toughest-and-smartest-riddles-i-know-solution-will-be-revealed-in-5-days" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://steemit.com/blog/@vimukthi/philosophical-riddle-challenge-one-of-the-toughest-and-smartest-riddles-i-know-solution-will-be-revealed-in-5-days</a></p><p>Most of philosophy is just a bunch of ramblings of people who probably new nothing much at all. Sometimes it is just one person paraphrasing another person. If science says some philosophy is BS, then it shouldn't be considered legitimate. Science ad Math should be the ones that keep philosophy in check instead of some ideological warfare.</p><p><br></p><p>Science and Math is neutral and I consider that philosophy a something that could guide the science and I consider it to be something that can enhance the scientific progress. Neither are infallible as they are products of human beings who can easily get things wrong. But when effectively utilized they can be a great force like Yin and Yang being 2 sides of a coin IMO.</p>

What kind of movies do you like?
<p class="">A <strong>film genre</strong> is a motion-picture category based (for example) on similarities either in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narrative" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">narrative elements</a> or in the emotional response to the film (namely: serious, comic, etc.). Most theories of film genre are borrowed from <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literary_genre" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">literary-genre</a> criticism. Each film genre is associated with "conventions, iconography, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movie_setting" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">settings</a>, narratives, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_character" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">characters</a> and actors". Standard genre characters vary according to the film genre; for <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_noir" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">film noir</a>, standard characters are the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Femme_fatale" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">femme fatale</a> and the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardboiled_detective" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">"hardboiled" detective</a>; a Western film may portray the schoolmarm and the gunfighter. Some actors acquire a reputation linked to a single genre, such as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wayne" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">John Wayne</a> (the Western) or <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Astaire" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Fred Astaire</a> (the musical). A film's genre will influence the use of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filmmaking" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">filmmaking</a> styles and techniques, such as the use of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flashback_(narrative)" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">flashbacks</a> and low-key lighting in film noir, tight framing in horror films, fonts that look like rough-hewn logs for the titles of Western films, or the "scrawled" title-font and credits of <em><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_(1995_film)" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Se7en</a></em> (1995), a film about a serial killer. As well, genres have associated <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_scoring" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">film-scoring</a> conventions, such as lush string orchestras for romantic <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melodrama" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">melodramas</a> or electronic music for <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science-fiction_film" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">science-fiction films</a>. - Wikipedia</p>
