Most of you that know me well can guess what happened next. Thanks @derangedvisions! I went all ADHD after reading your post!
In the past I have designed a number of gifs, banners, and dividers for other folks. Not the best graphics guy on STEEM yet; I can hold my own. I told myself: Self, why not enter the contest? I might even win! Not sure if I have any @creativecoins in my Steem-Engine Portfolio... nope I don't have any creativecoin, just checked.
Anyways, don't want to keep everyone reading this post in suspense. This is my entry for the banner/divider/graphics contest for @creative coins.

I am a huge fan of using open-source software (mostly because I am a tightwad and won't shell out the fiat for fancy stuff). I put the above animated banner together using GIMP. I have been using the GIMP program for years. Personally, I think it is better than any other graphics software out there !
I thought about making a divider as well for @creativecoins, but decided not to do so. I mean I need to get my curating done for heavens sake! This manual curating is time consuming !
If I have managed to keep your attention thus far, I would like to put a bug in your ear. I have noticed as has @moderndayhippie, that there is a great deal of FUD (Fear Uncertainty and Doubt) concerning our blockchain and its future. I would like to propose a couple of very simple things that we can all do to help. First and foremost, let us support our witnesses! Here is the list of those I endorse...

I do my best to keep up with their initiatives and support everywhere I know how with the resources I have available to me. Is your witness list up to date? If you proxy your witness votes is your proxy's witness list up to date? @jackmiller (one of my witnesses) brought up this subject not long ago. Speaking of @jackmiller, he hosts @witnesspage which keeps up with all things witness related (well that is my plug for @jackmiller).
I could go on and on about why I vote for the witnesses I do but, that is not the purpose of this post. One more thing we can do to help out our content creators and each other in our community, checking out the Brave Browser.
Yes, I know. We all have our favorite browsers (e.g., Opera, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) yet; you may not be aware that by using the Brave Browser you can be much more secure in your internet activities (you have total control over 3rd Scripts running on the sites you visit and a great many other features!
