Not much has changed in the top 20 since this morning as we've seen a bit more money trickle out of the market, and once agian Antshares and Gnosis are the shining stars. We're again under $100B, but I'm sure that won't last too long. As we approach a few key dates, most notable to most August 1st, we should see even more uncertainty. If you're like me you're less worried about the short term and looking forward to the future of the crypto space. PIVX saw some modest gains after their zerocoin protocol breakthrough.

Segwit2x: What you need to know about the 2x Hard Fork (aka 2MB non-Segwit Transaction Capacity per block/8MB Total Block Size Hard Fork)

Assuming Segwit2x release goes without a hitch, it should be safe to transact until block 494784, which will be when the 2MB hard fork for Segwit2x is expected to occur. This is expected to happen around November 18 and depending on how much of the network (miners, merchants, economic nodes) hard forks and what response Bitcoin Core and some objecting companies may have, this may mean 2 Bitcoins at that point.

Alpha Version of Breeze Wallet Released

The Breeze wallet is the first full SPV Wallet written in C#. This initial version will allow to execute test transactions with Bitcoin (BTC) on the BTC testnet. From this alpha-release the development team expects to gather information about the user experience, and potential issues and bugs in the Breeze Wallet. These would then be addressed before offering a stable, ready for production version.

Pantera Capital is hoping to become the first bitcoin investment firm to offer an ICO hedgefund. The Pantera ICO Fund LP plans to offer investors a diversified and third-party managed means to speculate on upcoming initial coin offerings, claiming to mitigate much of the risk associated with investing in pre-market cryptocurrency projects.

Reduce NMR payouts ~90% to NMR 1510 per week and increase staking payouts 3x to USD 3000 per week. These changes will apply immediately to the current Numerai tournament, and all unresolved tournaments as well including all stakes. The goal for Numeraire has always been that it gets used to stake models. These changes encourage data scientists to hold Numeraire, and stake it even more than before. Even with this 90% reduction in Numeraire payouts, the prize pool is still more than 10x higher in USD terms than it was two weeks ago.
