With all the recent vulnerabilities spotted in Tor one can only wonder how long people will continue to use it. Some of the major vulnerabilities spotted was that JavaScript, Plug-ins, and other applications can leak your IP, and that even running an Exit Node can put you at risk. So this is not good news for Tor supporters who thought they are invisible.
Well luckily they will have a much better alternative soon as decentralized Internet leaders MaidSafe created a SAFE network which allows all the Internet services of today to be fully decentralized. A crowd sourced Internet that uses advanced p2p technology and the computing power of Safe users to create a global safe network. Removing all the weaknesses of privacy, security and anonymity such as servers and other central points of current day Internet.
The impact of this would mean for the first time ever NO one will have a clue who you are or what you are doing where, true anonymity where no government or agency can shut the platform down as long as there is still Internet. Although the network is not released yet they are claiming that it should be released as soon as all tests and bugs are sorted out.
