I like the points made in this article. I think the Crypto space is by it's nature a hotbed for innovation. I don't think we need to worry about Ethereum 'replacing' Bitcoin; each one has it's place and purpose in the ecosystem. Even given the contentious scaling debate going on in the bitcoin community it still has a reputation for reliability, stability and security simply because it has been in operation so long. Personally I think Bitcoin will stick around as a solid value store whereas Ethereum, Ripple etc. will be used for smart contracts and bank settlement as per their designed purpose. Some of the great things about crypto are the diversity of the network and specificity of the use cases. Anyway - that's my thoughts on this matter.
