Some users reported losing over $400,000 from Jaxx wallets. It showed that the Jaxx blockchain was not encrypted, but it fact it was user errors. The victims had their computers hacked and the hackers in turn entered into their wallets, withdrawing all their money.... This would be the same thing as a hacker getting into your computer, signing into your bank account and draining all your funds. You can't blame Jaxx but it's scary.
What can I do to protect this problem from happening?
Make sure you are running a replicable anti virus software on your computer.
Make sure you are encrypting your passwords.
Make sure you securing your cell phone if you are holding wallets on your cell phone.
(Think about it...some people might be walking around with crypto wallets on their phones storing thousands of dollars. This is the same thing as walking around the street with thousands of dollars in your actual wallet).Think about transferring coins off line to product like the Ledger blue or Nano S.
(A ledger blue is a way to store your coins offline).
