District0x is an Ether-based altcoin that has been generating alot of buzz recently.
So much buzz infact, that I took time off of trying not to die of Trigeminal Neuralgia to blog about it. 😛
What is District0x?
So, as I said earlier, District0x is an Ether-based altcoin. This one is specifically catering to community marketplaces.
Huh?
Yeah, you know, like AirBnB and Uber? These are community marketplaces that are highly centralised and you pay for services on there with fiat currency. You also need to have alot of visibility and identification in order to use them. Slight disadvantages like Uber manipulating prices via surging and not being held accountable for shady management is hard to check when power is centralised.
You also have the awkward racist complaints from people of colour trying to book flats via AirBnB.
I suppose this is not a magic bullet solution to these kinds of problems, but I can imagine these are the kinds of gaps in the market people using this blockchain to build services would be looking to fill.
You can read the whitepaper for yourself over here. The nutshell post is over here.
"Why should you invest in it? "
Well, tbh besides it's promising outlook it is currently valued under $1. The marketcap is healthy as well.
I'll write up a update post when I believe it's time to cash out/exit.
You're welcome in advance.
Stay well.
