Because I see the awesome potential of Steemit/$teem, I am committed to investing in and contributing to the growth and the increase in value of $teem for all of us!
One of the best ways to do this is by powering up all your $teem and NOT spending it!
Now I know some people need the $ or at least WANT to use it for various reasons. Of course this is ok, as it's yours and you earned it!
However, every single time $teem is cashed out the value of $teem is slightly decreased, because the value is all about supply and demand - the more supply there is, the lower the value. The less supply there is the higher the value!
If everyone on Steemit were to do this, the value of $teem would be SOO much higher than it is now and we would all be much more wealthy because of it!
So not only is this good for Steemit as a whole, but it is good for YOU too, because when the value of $teem goes up the value of your account goes up!
Another powerful BONUS to powering up is that the worth of your vote goes UP, so you can pay yourself more with your own upvotes or the people you feel deserve your support, thus increasing payouts even MORE and everyone's account worth!
This is the smart way to guarantee more profit on your long term investment of $teem. You will get a lot more for your investment of time or fiat invested by holding and inspiring others to hold as well.
Then there is a snowball effect where the value begins to increase quickly and more people then want to buy in because they see steady increase. This increases the value MORE and on and on and on!
This is why I always do 100%sp posts and don't ever power down. Now in full honesty, I have donated hundreds of $ of $teem to @gardenofeden but that was to contribute to the various humanitarian outreach projects to feed and clothe homeless people. I myself have not spent a single $teem nor powered down once, not even in temptation to get something nice. I just donate the liquid $teem that I get from winning contests, comment payouts, and other $teem donations to @gardenofeden and it is for a very good cause that helps a lot of people. @gardenofeden is very efficient and sustainable making a small amount of $ go a long way!
As I said, I am not judging anyone for powering down or cashing out, nor am I trying to make anyone feel bad about doing so. I am simply stating facts that are true, which will accelerate the success and increase the value of Steemit!
