Brief History of Buddy

Buddy was established in 2015 with mission to apply automation into application development process. This will enable developers focus on creative challenges. With aim of helping developer produce quality products Buddy has partner with Google, Github, Microsoft, Bitbucket and other key platforms.

.1 Open DevOps Marketplace

Buddy offers a platform open to third-party developers with user control within the Buddy environment. Developers have access to employ personal development automation pipelines.

Just as a casual market, everyone can submit their products to the Buddy DevOps Marketplace and decide to make products and services either free or paid. Buddy will help third-party developers make profit by adding monetary value to the solutions submitted to the DevOps Marketplace, and at the same time, allow developers publish plugins for free.

Aside EOS Buddy is working to support other Blockchains such as ETH, ICX, Geth, NEO, TRX, and NEM with aim of enabling rapid and efficient development across blockchains.

Buddy not only supports blockchains, Buddy also offers an environment where new developers can enter into developing blockchains.

.3 Private Automation GRID

As an Enterprise, High-latency times, reliability issues and security concerns are no-go. Buddy’s decentralization occurs on a trusted infrastructure where user, supposing user is a male, has full control of his privacy.

The idea is to create a network of Buddy instances which will use auto-discovery and replication capabilities to create high availability auto-scalable infrastructure for development and deployment automation. Once new Buddy instances appear in the network, they automatically decide on their roles.

.4 Shared Automation GRID

The idea behind the Shared Automation Network is to offload high-intensive automation tasks to a network of Buddy instances ran by users with available resources.

For example:
Tests can be ran by dozen of Buddy instances from a Shared GRID on an application built using a Private GRID of Buddy instances. In this way, results can be provided in minutes, which in itself is time-efficient.

Discovery of Buddy Instances

Buddy uses its own peer-to-peer network whose peers are moderated by Buddy’s DAO. New peers report their address to the organization. This address is used to fetch lists of peers by other nodes.
