Many crypto-currency exchanges are not currently allowing new users due to a massive influx of new account requests in the past few weeks. The way some crypto enthusiasts gain ripple (XRP) is by sending their friends BTC to buy it for them, and then having the XRP sent back to their wallet addresses. Ripple may be a great to hold long term. It has made massive gains this past month, and it currently consolidating.
