Blockchain startups are the new rave of the moment as a lot of projects see this as an opportunity to raise the funds necessary to bring to life their ideas and innovations. I will be introducing a project that tackles a real life problem which has plagued the manufacturing industry for a long time & promises solutions for manufacturers and innovators/purchasers alike.
The project is SYNCFAB
What is Syncfab?
Syncfab is a decentralized platform that connects hardware innovators directly with the manufacturers of their products in a simple peer to peer manner.
The Syncfab platform is made possible by the blockchain technology, creating the world’s first blockchain based manufacturing supply chain. Syncfab is governed by a smart contract which gives the purchasers insight into the supply chain process.
According to website: Through the Smart Manufacturing Blockchain, purchasers and manufacturers will be able to streamline the procurement and supply chain processes, protect intellectual properties, source, and track parts production in real time and on demand.
Manufacturing processes either for large scale production, small scale production, sophisticated products or basic and simple poses some problems especially for small & medium scale businesses as most of them needs a broker to serve as the intermediary between the purchasers and the manufacturers.
Syncfab removes the need to be reliant on a middleman in the supply chain process both for the manufacturers, suppliers, innovators and logistic officers.
