What is Strorj?

it is a decentralized cloud project where Google or facebook centralizes our data in imminent data-center and often resold or used without our consent (like the recent Facebook scandal) shows us that our data no longer really belong to us or that we have no real control over it ,on i-cloud to store 50 gigas of data you would pay 0.$99, on StorJ we pay $0.75 for the same thing but encrypted and decentralized!

StorJ has as a project to revolutionize the cloud by decentralizing it what makes the storage of data much more secure because once put the files on the cloud it is dispatched between all the "bock" and encoded so that only we can read our data...
The files are first encrypted using the encryption key, then encrypted using Reed Solomon in fragments of different sizes. These fragments are then uploaded to different nodes of the Storj network directly after communication with the Storj bridge to negotiate with which nodes to communicate. Once the file is downloaded, it is then mirrored to other nodes on the network, so that in case a fragment disappears after this initial download, a fragment can be repaired. The total number of fragments that can be repaired is about half of the original file.*
