There are several conflicting opinions of Verge in the Current Market which shouldn't be a surprise as the Project has been through several setbacks recently.
So recently Verge had an accidental Fork/Hack where around 250000 XVG tokens were misplaced. This was later claimed to be an Accidental 51% attack against the Network which I feel is rather Rare. A 51% attack means a Person is in control of over 51% of the total Hashing Power of a Cryptocurrency which is rather Hard to achieve.
Even though Verge uses Five different crypto Algorithms for Mining it seems there are still a lot of Issues in the Code itself. At this point in Time I feel like it's High Time Verge went through a Hard Fork to Prevent such Issues in the Future.
I feel for a Privacy Centric Cryptocurrency Verge's Project Code is Far from Being Secure.
What do you think about this?
