Essentially the basis for the post and hypothesis is that a growth in yearly lows shows that there is a subset of support and supporters who aren't willing to sell, raising the floor. So lets look at the research:
Bitcoin yearly lows:
2012 - $4
2013 - $65
2014 - $200
2015 - $185
2016 - $365
2017 - $780
2018 - $3200
Ethereum lows per year:

It's worth looking at ETH/BTC lows per year at the same time:

It shows that ownership has been much later in their lifecycle than others...
A personal tangent: I've held the 1000xrp gifted from joining their mailing list in 2013. Mainly because they've been worthless for most of the time...
Another OG coin... Litecoin. How's the #HODLGrowth been there? Here are the lows per year to see:

With Litecoin it is interesting to see a year vs year lower lows.
A personal tangent: I mined 7 litecoin in 2013 and lost them through a pool exit scam having never moved them. Shout out to #ProofOfKeys
How has Monero done for #HODLGrowth? Here are the lows per year to see:

2016 $0.427559
2017 $10.12
2018 $38.90
Monero also seeing some year vs year lows but in difference to litecoin it was consecutive and by a smaller margin.
To wrap up this short tweetstorm on #HODLGrowth I'd like you to imagine each graphed out. It would appear to me that the year on year low growth of BTC seems far more reasonable and measure than the rest, a true growth in Hodl base for the King.
Whilst the others having exhibited either rapid unnatural growth, or a history of decline, show that there may be a smaller base of true believers.
