After 1 month and 10 days, I have finally managed to make my first BTC. Started out with only $1k which grew until $7k before cashing out some of the capital and leave the rest to roll, finally I have acheived my 1 BTC target!
It must be a joke of the day if I were to write about this 10 years ago (March 2010) when 1 BTC is mearly $0.003. With $1k, I could have bought 330k of bitcoin! And if I were to hold this 330k of bitcoin for 10 years, today it would have been a whopping $5.2B! Is it worth to hold a coin for 10 years with $1k?
Obviously the answer is "YES"! But.... Who would know bitcoin would worth so much today and who would have bought bitcoin at $0.003 with $1k?
That is why everyone in the crypto space mentioned about HODL (hold on for dear life) and using fiat (money) that you are afford to lose. With this in mind, whatever you have bought today, you will hold till it ripe.
Some may see this as greed when the coin you are holding reached $100M or even $1B worth, but you keep holding to it and not selling. However, since you have purchase using money you already 'lose', you have nothing to lose. In this case, if you sell of, then it would be greed instead.
And with this mindset, then we see the possibility of this wild west space with coins going up 10,000x in a year. If all the holders hold on tight without selling, with limited supply, it could only go up.
And are we in a bubble? Of course it's a huge bubble. However, it is a subjective topic and relative to the chart today and not future. When bitcoin run up to $1000, it was a huge bubble too. However, as it consolidate for a few years before moving up to $20k late last year, the gain in the past from $100 to $1000 seems like a dwarf.
So let's embrace in this community and work as one to share the riches together in this decentralized world which Steemit platform has offered to us.
