Original post: Scam or legit? BEAM [ENG/RU]
The team really outdid itself: rudeness mixed with incompetency. After we published our initial review, they went on the defensive about their project being 100% legit and called us trolls-extortionists. At least they didn't delete our review from their group.
Then another admin (seemingly duped by the company's propaganda) chimed in to criticize us as disinformation and fake news (without substantiating such claims in any way).
When we politely requested that they answer our questions about the project, they gave us a "last warning" to stop trolling them and leave the group.
In a couple of hours they had an enlightened change of heart, with one admin volunteering to answer some of the questions not connected with politics (what politics?).
At the same time, Stas Oskin, an advisor to the project, contacted us offering to answer the questions. Guess what? As soon as we sent him the questions, he dropped off the face of this planet. Still haven't heard from him.
After waiting for Stas Oskin for a few days, we got in touch with Vladislav Gelfer, which offered his help in answering our questions. And he did give us a few answers:

(3) Autidable Transactions.
There are business that are obliged to operate wrt regulations, and might want to use our crypto. So we want to them tools to be as transparent as possible for appropriate authorities, but without compromising the annimity toward others.
Of course we can't solve all the problems (which also exist in the "traditional world"), but we have some really nice ideas.
(7) Secure BBS.
Implemnted in C++, networking over TCP with our encryption (based on the Diffie-Hellman), same as all other our comms. Actually the BBS functionality currently is incorporated into Node, so that the Node can run as a blockchain processor, BBS, or both.
Serves as a message exchange, to build the transactions asynchronously. Apart from the recipient no one can decrypt the message, or get any info about who is it intended for.
(8) atomic swaps. Not implemented yet in the wallet, but everything is ready for it in the blockchain processing.
One option - using hashlock (we support this in the tx kernel). There's also a better option, but it will work only the cryptos using the same ECC equation and the G-generator.
(11) There is no artificial limitations on the transaction fee, and it's not mandatory at all.
Our reference Node sorts the transactions w.r.t. "profit", which is the ratio fee/size. The block size is limited, so, when overloaded, it will tend to include transactions with greater fee/size ratio.
Since sums are blinded, I see actually no other criteria rather than the tx size that should matter.
We're not quite clear what kind of business this is that works with government regulators and uses anonymous crypto at the same time. Isn't the whole point that no one should know about you using it? But anyway....
Btw, after we released our review, their Telegram subscriber base grew by 1.5x (from 2000 to 3500). The team explained this increase as an attack on the project. Strange reaction to an increase in attention to their project (unless maybe they didn't want attention on the project).
Conclusion
Given the combative and missing-in-action admins, answers to fewer than half of our questions (and even those we had to fight for)... plus, let's not forget that Amir Aaronson was part of the Playtness, which vanished after its ICO) and Yonatan Ben Shimon is involved in that story about transferring out $1.7M... shady.

Команда проекта проявила себя во всех красках: некорректность граничащая с неадекватностью. После публикации обзора они стали оправдываться, что их проект 100% легальный и назвали нас троллями-вымогателями. Но обзор в группе великодушно решили оставить.
Потом включился второй админ (по всей видимости жертва пропаганды) и высказал свою критическую оценку: дезинформация и fake news, не приводя при этом никаких аргументов.
На нашу вежливую просьбу ответить на вопросы по проекту нам было выдано последнее тролльское предупреждение.
Через пару часов у них произошла вспышка благоразумия: один из админов вызвался ответить на часть "вопросов", которые не связаны с политикой (политикой?).
Параллельно с этим на нас вышел Stas Oskin, адвизор проекта, с предложением ответить на вопросы. После того как мы ему их задали, он куда-то слился, молчит до сих пор.
После пары дней ожидания ответов от Stas Oskin, мы связвлись с Vladislav Gelfer, который любезно предлагал нам свою помощь, и он таки дал нам кое-какие ответы:

(3) Проверяемые транзакции.
Есть такие виды бизнеса, которые обязаны работать с регуляторами, и возможно захотят использовать нашу крупту. Поэтому мы хотим, чтобы они были максимально прозрачными для соответствующих органов власти, но без ущерба анонимности для других наших пользователей.
Конечно, мы не можем решить все проблемы (которые также существуют в "традиционном мире"), но у нас есть несколько действительно хороших идей.
(7) Защищенный BBS.
Реализован на C++, соединяется по TCP с нашим шифрованием (основано на Diffie-Hellman), так же как и все наши коммуникации. На самом деле функционал BBS в настоящий момент включен в Ноды, так что Нода может запустить процессор блокчейна, BBS, или и то и другое.
Служит для обмена сообщениями, для построения асинхронных транзакций. Кроме получателя никто не может расшифровать сообщение или получить информацию о том, для кого оно предназначен.

(11) Нет никаких искусственных ограничений на комиссию за транзакцию, и она не является обязательной.
Наша reference Нода сортирует транзакции w.r.t. "profit", которые являются соотношением комиссия/размер. Размер блока ограничен, поэтому при перегрузке она будет пропускать транзакции с большим коэффициентом комиссия/размер.
Поскольку суммы скрыты, я не вижу других критериев которые будут иметь значение кроме размера транзакции.
А что это за такой бизнес, который работает с государственными регуляторами и исползает анонимную крипту? В том то ее и суть, чтобы никто не знал, что ты ей пользуешься.
К слову, с момента выхода обзора число подписчиков канала увеличилось в полтора раза (с 2000 да 3500). Ребята аргументировали это тем, что на них организована атака. Странная реакция на повышение внимания к их проекту, если только они его и не хотели привлекать.
Заключение
Заносчивае админы, ответы меньше чем на половину вопросов (которые мы получили с боями). Добавим сюда еще Amir Aaronson (участвовал в проекте Playtness, который испарился после проведения ICO) и Yonatan Ben Shimon (замешан в истории с переводом $1.7M).
