Historical Background
Bitcoin’s emergence attracted plenty of attention and online discussion. The word spread along many channels, including mailing lists, IRC chats, and discussion sites like Bitcointalk.org. Many of the cryptocurrency’s biggest boosters discovered Bitcoin through these social interactions.
