Over the past few months I have scoured the internet reading and watching the posts and videos of cryptocurrency prognosticators. Some of them dazzle with graphs and charts, proving that after this A-B-C the 1,2,3,4,5 count will hit xyz apex. Some of them swear that this thing that you have never heard of before is going to the moon! Some of them tease and tantalize, and all you need to do is sign up for their pay service and you will get in on the big money before anyone else. Some of them seem to be teenage kids in their bedrooms with a laptop and an internet connection posting away onto youtube. Some of them actually provide good and useful information. And all of them have one thing in common, they can't tell the future any more than anyone else, and don't know where the market will be at the end of the year any more than than anyone else does. With that in mind I have decided to post my own predictions for 2018, taking the current top 10 on coinmarketcap.com and giving what I think will be the high price for each respective cryptocurrency for the year of 2018. Overall I am quite bullish, here goes;
Bitcoin - the King keeps the crown, going to $30k+ and maybe as high as $50k
Ethereum - The platform that most tokens depend on for existence. $3000+
Ripple - already had its ride and way to much supply overhang, but will get back to $4
Bitcoin Cash - F Roger Ver! would not put a single cent into this coin!, but emotion will get you nowhere when it comes to trading, goes to 3k+
Cardano - a lot of promise, waiting on delivery, quantum resistant signatures?, is this even in alpha?, more than doubles to $1.50
6.Stellar - open-source decentralized transactions for the common person anywhere on the globe. Goes over $3
7.Litecoin - follows Bitcoin like a lost puppy, but much greater adoption in 2018, $600+
EOS - Promises of greatness, to much to mention here. Why is my spidy-sense tingling and warning of danger? doesn't matter, still makes it to $50
NEM - A dark horse, $6, $7, maybe even $8?!
NEO - The beauty of open-source, thousands of people working on a project, am I blind? I somehow can't see the value, but that is my problem, still goes to $180
All of this should be taken with a grain of salt, I am not a financial expert or advisor. In the end it is your money and your decision, please exercise due diligence. When this is all said and done and we come to the end of 2018 I truly do hope that profits are made by all. Time to put some skin in the game.
