The past 2017 the president of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro announced the exit of the first Venezuelan cryptocurrency called "Petro" which according to the Venezuelan technology observatory blockchain estimates that the petro is emerging as one of the safest cryptocurrencies in the world, because it has a support for the nation's oil reserves and is the first crypto currency issued by a state.
The interesting thing about this is that the project has an attack force, the petro is undoubtedly a revolutionary idea since its value would be close to being parallel to the barrel of oil. But now it would be the petro causing the elimination of the bolivar? Since in my personal opinion as a Venezuelan it would be that the petro to fat views is a greedy project due to the need of resources in the country, if the petro is used for internal trades of the country and for monthly quotas to the workers it would be this the end next to the strong bolivar.
When the red government of Venezuela began with the idea of making changes in the Venezuelan internal currency, it underwent innumerable changes of value, thus leading to a terrible devaluation. Now will this same happen to the petro? Or will the petro extinguish the Venezuelan currency? Given the word of some economists of the country could be either the window to something really sustainable or the ravine to an economy more unstable than the current one.
