Since the new millennium, there has been a surge of interest for fitness and wellness products and services, with fitness and healthy living becoming a lifestyle.
With the rise of mobile phones, social media and wearable technology, those individuals passionate about health and wellness now have the opportunity to share their experiences and passions in real-time and with anyone in the world through photos, blog posts, videos and more. The Problem
There are a few problems currently facing the wellness industry. Applications and companies collect data from customers which they sell to third-parties. Customers have no choice but to lose the rights to their own data by agreeing to privacy terms and conditions, and by agreeing to download an application controlled centrally. The users generating this data cannot aggregate, share and monetize it.
