What is Cappasity?
Cappasity offers a platform to create, rent and sell 3D content leveraging a decentralized infrastructure through blockchain technology. With this platform, businesses can quickly develop and use 3D content for their digital needs or further development (for gaming or other AR/VR applications).
CAPP tokens are issued as digital payment vehicle to facilitate transactions on the platform. The platform is already live (further development is on-going) - you can access it on www.cappasity.com. Cappasity's iOS app for iPhone and iPad is already available and it will soon be launched for Android as well.
The marketplace will offer AR/VR/3D content such as 3D models, views, holograms and 360-degree view videos and supports importing models in various popular formats. Market size: The AR/VR technologies market is estimated to be over $5.2 BN and is expected to grow 100% annually for the next 5 years, according to a report from GrowthEnabler (UK). This matches with the projections in the Cappasity whitepaper that shows a market size of $11.4 BN in 2017 and estimated to be $215 BN in 2021
Potential: Over a billion mobile phones are already capable of running AR content. Almost all tech companies including Google, Facebook, Apple, Samsung, IBM are investing in these technologies so the potential for Cappasity is huge. The technology is being used for digital immersive marketing, gaming as well as AR/VR headsets which continue to evolve. Closing Thoughts
This is definitely among the best ICOs I have invested in so far (phase 1) - the market potential is huge, the team is hitting all the right targets as per its roadmap with some really interesting partnerships along the way. I prefer to invest in companies that have a strong long-term potential and this is definitely one of them to hold on to. I will be investing more in phase 2
