XSPEC: The Best Stealth Coin for 2018?

Spectrecoin (XSPEC) is an PoS anonymous cryptocurrency. It utilizes integration in the TOR network. Transactions are anonymous and secure. Its technology, at this time, is superior to other stealth coins. IMO it's undervalued.

USE-VALUE

There’s too many chucky-e-cheese coins out there masquerading as something useful. Most of these will die when the crypto market finally crashes. You want your investments in something that use real use-value. Without use-value, the coin/token cannot be a commodity because it cannot realize an exchange-value.

This should be your basic investing rule.

Flashy website? Crypto buzzwords? ICO hype? Reddit posts?

Stealth coins have a use-value: they anonymize transactions. This is a need that won’t go away any time soon. Whatever the reason is (I don’t want to know), if you want to send value to someone anonymously, you need a method.

There’s too many stealth coins out there right now, all of which aim to do the same thing. It’s my opinion that there are two technologically superior coins of the stealth coin fad: XSPEC and XSH. In a world of increasing totalitarianism and black-mirror level government control, anonymous transactions will only continue to be a necessity.

XSPEC AS INVESTMENT

It’s up to you to decide. I personally have invested in this coin. My reasons are:

1. Monero and other coins have already reached a high market cap. XSPEC has far more room to grow whereas other stealth coins have far more to lose.
2. XSPEC performs a clear use (anonymous transactions)
3. XSPEC has superior tech (below)
4. XSPEC is community driven.

XSPEC and TOR

Xspec uses Tor. All traffic for the blockchain is integrated into Tor’s network. Tor is a military-grade encryption network that anonymizes internet traffic. Although governments have successfully blocked Tor (China), xspec, and Tor, work around this by using an obfuscation protocol (OBFS4).

The way this works is that Tor traffic has a specific identifier. Governments can ‘sniff’ the data packets and identity that it is Tor traffic. OBFS4 hides that scent, masks it, makes it look like normal traffic. In this way, xspec has penetrated the Chinese firewall.

I know what you’re saying. But “coinname” also uses TOR! Yeah. As a proxy. They exit the TOR network when one node connects to another. This is a potential security risk. You want your coin to be integrated in TOR in order to hide your IP address.

RING SIGNATURES

Think of a stamp, the kind they used in the medieval ages, a sealing wax. Now, imagine that seal (the signature) is made by a ring. Now, imagine that everyone in the group (holders of Specter Coin) all share the same ring, the same seal. So when a transaction occurs on the blockchain, the author is anonymized. We can see that a transaction occurred, but the author of the transaction is obfuscated by the universal ring.
It’s like if five kings all used the same seal. You received a letter from them. You know that the letter is genuine; it’s signed by the king’s seal. But you don’t know which king gave you the letter.

CONS

I personally hate the current logo. The coin is also limited to a few exchanges. Cryptopia seems to be the most popular exchange to obtain XSPEC. It’s less well-known than other stealth coins. But personally, I see these points as potential room for growth.

CONCLUSION

Tor integration, ring signatures, stealth addresses (anonymizing the receiver) and, in the future, stealth staking. Xspec’s tech advances what’s possible for stealth coins. It has incredible room for growth. Most importantly, the coin accomplishes a clear use-value by solving a real world problem: anonymous transactions.
