News from Robinhood and Observa
Wow, crypto is gaining traction!
It is not from one or two things that will bring crypto into use for the majority of people, but from many thousands of small and seemingly minor uses.
This long march took at least two more steps forward today, May 14th 2018.
Robinhood Offers Cryptocurrency Trading In Arizona
First, The big one. I received an email stating that I (and probably most everyone else using Robinhood in Arizona) can now trade crypto - WITH NO FEES - on the stock trading platform Robinhood.
Right now they only offer Bitcoin and Ethereum trading, but I am sure more will follow as they monitor and grow this part of their service.
Think about this. I can sell a stock and immediately use that money to buy Bitcoin and/or Ethereum.
NO OTHER platform offers this. It also is also extremely easy and without fees.
No wonder Robinhood was just valued at $5.6 BILLION dollars. They will be worth a LOT more in the future, me thinks.

Observa Offers Payments In Cryptocurrency
I have done some work for the gig app Observa and just this evening I got an email from them stating that I can now be paid out in cryptocurrency.
They have partnered with Coinbase and offer payments in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin.
Now Steemit isn't the only side hustle that I can get paid directly in cryptocurrency.
Mainstream Adoption Is Growing
If you are a champion of cryptocurrency adoption, as I suspect most reading this post are, you should applaud every single legitimate use - no matter how small. These things will add up to enable cryptocurrency use in everyday transactions.
It won't happen tomorrow, but it will happen.
