2017 was amazing for the cryptocurrency market and with the first days of 2018 allready promising i thought sharing the coins im watching and holding for this year (not in particular order). In my opinion the big areas for blockchain in 2018 will be gambling, Dapp platforms, privacy and decentralized exchanges.
OmiseGO (OMG)
I talked about this project allready in Steemit, you can check it here. This project has a very big roadmap in 2018, they are releasing their own blockchain, they will be a decentralized exchange and they have allready big partnerships and ofcourse they have the god Vitalik helping them.
ICON (ICX)
This one is allready big, i entered ICO in september (0.12$ price) and is currently at 7$, they called it the Korean Ethereum and they are lauching their MainNet in this month and have a big conference in NewYork. Alot of partnerships and projects in place and Korea market is big in cryptocurrency.
Wanchain (WAN)
Another big Dapp platform, with a very successful ico, they are releasing tokens this month and launching their MainNet. Their goal is to connect all cryptocurrencies and blockchains.
FunFair (FUN)
This is my pick for the gambling field, is a big field and very use case for blockchain technology because doesnt need any middleman. This month they are submiting a
application to the UK Gambling Commission for a Remote Gambling Software License. This could put gambling on blockchain mainstream.
KyberNetwork (KNC)
Decentralized Exchange, with real partnertships and Vitalik advising them. They want to create a full decentralized exchange, impossible to hack and they want to partnership with wallets so people can exchange coins easily.

ChainLink (LINK)
ChainLink is a very ambicious project, they want to connect all the real data with blockchains, they want to be a oracle for blockchains, this is a must "feature" to blockchains go mainstream and to make big impacts on real world.
These are the projects im excited for 2018, there is still alot of ICO's and new projects coming soon, im just sharing good ones, like always you need to do your own research ;)
