It is January 17 and the business analysts are all over TV slamming the prospects for cryptocurrencies and spurring as much panic as they can - as is the herd mentality of the news organizations. I was always told to buy when there was blood in the streets. These guys are stabbing the victim gleefully. So be a buyer.
The fundamental threat of crypto is that it eliminates the intermediaries - the folks who take a piece of every transaction for enabling it to occur. These are the players in the financial industry. They act like a lobby to eliminate competitors and to co-opt business news to protect their roles as intermediaries.
Blockchain is the real deal. Bitcoin and Ethereum have legs because they are platforms that almost frictionless trtansactions can run upon. Many ICO originated coins are simply one trick ponies, but there are a set of them that are enabling the blockchain itself. These are reasonable bets. Think. Evaluate. And buy right!
