Back to the macroeconomic scene, in an article disclosed in the portal "Bolsamania" the US debt ceiling remains the biggest concern of the market, especially after the Republicans stopped the talks last Friday after accusing the White House of being "unreasonable".
As of this Monday, US President Joe Biden and Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy are meeting again to try to unblock the deal. For her part, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has again called on both sides to reach an agreement or "we will have to choose which bills will remain unpaid".
According to Goldman Sachs, the 'default' date could come somewhat later than the June 1 that Yellen predicts and be delayed until June 8 or 9. Analysts believe that there will be an agreement, although it will most likely come at the last minute.
