As you search for your next crypto investment, I highly recommend visiting coincheckup.com. This is an amazing resource for new investors looking to find out more about a particular coin. Everything I mention in this post can usually be found here!
As both a developer and investor I am interested in the success of cryptocurrencies. However, there are tons of scams out there trying to take advantage of inexperienced investors in a nascent market. Like most of you, I want only the genuinely awesome, value-providing, and profitable companies to succeed in this space.
These are the steps I personally take when I am researching a new investment opportunity:
- Visit website and read white-paper.
- Is the project interesting/unique?
- Is it attempting to solve a real problem in a unique/better way than others?
- Is it realistic?
- Follow development/business team
- Who is in charge? What is his/her experience and track record?
- Who is on the dev team? What is their track record on past projects?
- Evaluate current state of project
- Is there a working MVP in production?
- Is there a clear direction and future goal?
- Is there a detailed roadmap that is routinely updated as progress is made?
- Is progress being made in a reasonable amount of time, or is it dragging behind?
- Examine Brand awareness and community interest
- Who are the competitors?
- Is there a strong community, and does the business/dev team communicate openly within it?
- Is the code open source?
