However, the further development of mining depends on a number of parameters, the key of which is the reduction of electricity costs.
Excessive electricity costs have repeatedly been criticized for mining and the POW algorithm that initiated it. The main arguments here are imaginary uselessness (in a global sense) of this phenomenon, and an increase in pollutant emissions, etc.
Prices per kilowatt do not give rest to the miners themselves - during periods of market recession, mining becomes often unprofitable because of the expensive “light”.
As a result, the emergence of an effective mining solution is one of the key tasks of the cryptosphere that the Swiss Alps Mining & Energy project will try to solve.
What is Swiss Alps Mining & Energy
Swiss Alps Mining & Energy is a project for automatic and energy efficient mining, based on the use of green mining cubes operating on renewable energy sources.
The project will work in the Swiss Alps, where there are hundreds of uninhabited abandoned mountain houses, where cubes will be placed. Interestingly, the settlement of these houses is prohibited by Swiss law, which opened up the possibility of localizing mining equipment almost free of charge.
The key component of the system is a modular cube for mining, providing the highest level of automation and efficiency (a special algorithm constantly selects the most profitable mining for mining), as well as almost complete autonomy: the technique requires minimal maintenance, all current tasks can be performed remotely from a central management system.
The location of the farms in the mountains with an average annual temperature of 12-15 degrees contributes to a significant reduction in the cost of cooling systems.
