So, as I've flexed, I'm just at 6 months into my cryptocurrency hobby now, and, considering I started with zero dollars, the fact that I'm today at $156 (the market's been up for a couple!) gives me a lotta pride and joy. I thought I'd share my routine, as it stands now, all in one place.
Not all this is daily, obvs, and most won't be news to many of you. It takes varying time commitments, and I'm nowhere near making a "wage," if I think in those terms. This is just a peek behind the curtain of a newbie with (still) pandemic time on their hands.
Things I do on the regular, daily or nearly:
Blog here. I haven't quite gotten my footing, but trying, trying!
Blog on Publish0X (https://www.publish0x.com/cryptokitten). I don't post anywhere near daily, but I'm o, every day, to max out my tips. I tip the folks I'm following, and peruse new and trending to find new info and writers I like and will follow.
Use Brave (https://brave.com/?ref=spi268/). I posted about that here (https://www.publish0x.com/cryptokitten/fortune-favors-the-brave-browser-xrorjvx). Just started and I'm liking it, but haven't gotten near the 25 BAT needed to verify my Uphold wallet (to withdraw).
Collect drips from faucets. Even though I'm scraping together tiny bits and bobbles of coin, I tend to stay away from faucets, because so many are bullshit, and even me, with all the time in the world, don't got time for that.
A few exceptions to my faucet whinges:
~Global Hive (https://globalhive.io/auth/register?ref=13213) which immediately transferred my dripped, minute zcash into my wallet.
~The Crypto Faucet (https://www.thecryptofaucet.com/?r=73570) which looks dodgy, but pays doge (lol). Seriously, tho. Doge and Tron, if you like slightly-better-than-shit-shitcoins.
- "Mine" pi (https://minepi.com/spitkitten). I also wrote about this here (https://www.publish0x.com/cryptokitten/pi-mud-or-a-golden-crust-xxovrje) Has $0 value, all speculation. But the whole she-bang takes no time at all. It even beeps me when it's time to click again.
The occasional, where I'm skeptical, or the thing that takes no babysitting
Scan airdrops. I check every few weeks or so, with wildly low expectations, cuz most are bogus. But every couple of weeks, I scan Air Drop Bob (https://www.airdropbob.com/). There are plenty of other airdrop sites, but I've yet to see one list something not found on the others.
Stake. Right now, I'm staking any Tezos I come across.
Stalk CoinBase learn (https://www.coinbase.com/rewards). Once in a while, CB gets another currency listed where you can watch short videos, take quizzes, and/or refer to get, well, free money. They recently added Kyber, and, in about 5 minutes, you can earn ~$6 USD of KNC. I like that the currency is immediately yours, to trade, sell, or transfer. I usually trade for ETH, then transfer, but not always.
Shop with Lolli (https://lolli.com/ref/XTcfVZaU). If and when I have to do online shopping anyway, that is. I did a post mentioning Lolli here (https://www.publish0x.com/cryptokitten/my-first-fifty-part-3-buying-the-last-5-dollars-xkkpopq) and I still use it. But I'm less enthusiastic these days because I've since read accounts of folks struggling to withdraw when they reach their $25 USD minimum. If I'm gonna shop anyway, then wtf no, right? But I'm not spending those Sats before I see em. I don't think they're a scam, per se. I've just tempered my expectations.
Stuff I'm possibly/definitely interested in trying, but on fence about or haven't gotten to, etc
Use Read.cash, Steem. If I'm cross posting, I should cross post. I know. I have accounts on these, but haven't jumped. I should. I probably will. Maybe.
Bounty hunt. I check around. But there's been squat. Bounty.io has a few things for folks outside of the US.
Play games (esp. Splinterlands, Town Star). I love games. I have no idea what I'm doing. I should try more. I'm just not a card collector/idle tapper kinda cat. And I live on my shitty phone a lot of the time, and am used to console games. So, yea. Am loser.
Something something NFT art, publishing. I love love love everything about this. In theory. Looks like there were some exciting projects back in 2018 that have since stalled. This is on my "someday I'll have more energy or folks will kick up new projects, so maybe wait" list.
How about you? If you're feeling generous, share your, er, honey holes? Comments. And tips welcomed and held in solemn regard. 😜
