Here at SynchroLife, we're preparing to build a blockchain based restaurant recommendation platform that rewards users for posting restaurant reviews and photos, or updating and editing restaurant business information in the platform.

Some of our supporters have even called it "Steemit for restaurant reviews", so we wanted to share some of the basics of the platform with the Steemit community for anyone who might be interested!

There are many restaurant review services around the world, some specialized to food like Zomato and Burpple, and others generally for all kinds of businesses like Yelp and Google Places.

But despite the many different restaurant search and discovery services available around the world, the problem of not knowing where you want to eat or where is best to eat continues to exist. The stress of trying to find the best restaurants both locally and when traveling, along with the many conversations our CEO Tomochika Kamiya had with small businesses during his over 10 years running an Online-to-Offline software business for coupons and customer relationship management led to the creation of SynchroLife.

Our whole team is passionate about food and finding the best restaurants, and we want to make this process fast, easy, and beneficial for everyone involved– both the diners and restaurants.

Introduction

SynchroLife is the world's first blockchain based restaurant recommendation platform, providing trustworthy restaurant information and reviews worldwide by rewarding reviewers with tokens. The SynchroLife team is launching the SynchroCoin token (ERC20, Token Symbol: SYC) with a crowdsale starting August 16th, 2017 at 12:00 noon GMT. Crowdsale details will be further announced on our website (http://synchrolife.org).

A beta of the SynchroLife platform (without blockchain and token technology) already exists and we have been testing it in Japan. Currently SynchroLife is a restaurant recommendation platform that allows users to socially record and share restaurants they have dined at and get personalized recommendations calculated with artificial intelligence. SynchroLife is currently avaliable as an app for iOS and Android smartphones, with 30,000 users and growing daily.

With this token crowdsale, we plan to further develop and grow the existing SynchroLife service into the world's first blockchain based decentralized restaurant recommendation platform to provide trustworthy restaurant information and reviews worldwide while rewarding reviewers with tokens. Users will be rewarded with SynchroCoin tokens for adding restaurant information, reviews, and photos to SynchroLife, and they can then spend these SynchroCoin tokens to buy restaurant coupons, gift cards, and in the future will even be able to use them to pay for full meals at restaurants. This is the basics of how the token will be earned and spent.

SynchroLife is finally rewarding food lovers for their valuable content, all using tokens!
Users are rewarded tokens for their high quality restaurant reviews, food and restaurant photos, corrections and edits to restaurant information, as well as the translation of restaurant information. Users will also receive a percentage of the advertising fee restaurants they've contributed to!

With new restaurants opening and closing daily, it's difficult for any one company to centrally maintain and edit this information. SynchroLife's token economy incentives users to help to maintain and grow the decentralized restaurant information database by adding new restaurants, marking closes restaurants, and updating any changed information.

SynchroLife learns your food likes and dining preferences from your actions within the app in order to "Synch" with you to make finding a good restaurant fast and easy! Search results, rating timelines, and daily recommendations are all personalized to you!

A new food economy based on SynchroCoin tokens
SynchroCoin tokens will create a new food economy as they are used to reward food lovers for the content, buy digital restaurant coupons, pay for meals at affiliate restaurants, as well as pay for advertising and marketing within SynchroLife.

Ethereum Smart Contracts
SynchroCoin tokens will be distributed to users based on smart contracts, guaranteeing the tokens are distributed accurately, efficiently, and at low cost.

Token-based Economy

How does the SynchroCoin work? What value does it have?

To put it most simply: Users earn SynchroCoin for posting content to the SynchroLife platform and then they can use those SynchroCoin to buy coupons or meals at participating restaurants.

Users are rewarded for their time and content with the SynchroCoin and can use this to get discounts at restaurants.
Restaurants also use the SynchroCoin to attract customers through marketing and advertising options within the app, as well as to accept payment for meals at their restaurant.

How are SynchroCoin tokens earned?

Users of the SynchroLife mobile app (and/or website in the future) will be able to earn SynchroCoin tokens for posting high quality restaurant reviews and photos, updating/editing/adding restaurant business information, adding new restaurants, marking closed restaurants, translating restaurant information, reviewing the edits of other users and more. Users will also receive SynchroCoin as rewards for dining at participating restaurant and they will also receive a small amount of SynchroCoin after a restaurant they have contributed to previously pays for advertising/marketing on the SynchroLife platform. Users can also receive SynchroCoin as tips from other users.

How are SynchroCoin tokens used?

Users can use SynchroCoin to buy coupons, discounts, or gift cards from participating restaurants. We also plan in later stages to allow for users to use SynchroCoin to pay for meals at participating restaurants. Users may also use SynchroCoin to tip other users or buy premium features within the service. Restaurants will also buy SynchroCoin to use to pay for advertisements/marketing within the SynchroLife platform.

Problems Solved

We believe the current restaurant search and discovery industry to have many issues including:
・Most centralized services are limited in area because they cannot maintain an accurate database of constantly changing restaurants worldwide
・Many services rank restaurants and/or users by nontransparent algorithms which leads to accusations of fake reviews or unfair treatment for restaurants not participating in advertising/marketing programs
・Many services give all users the same recommendations and sometimes overwhelm users with thousands of results
・Users provide their time and original content in the form of reviews and photos but are rarely compensated for this
・Despite all the restaurant discovery and restaurant news services out there the majority of restaurant still struggle with getting new customers and retaining their current customers

SynchroLife solves these issues by managing restaurant business information from around the world on the blockchain, rewarding and motivating users for their content and time through tokens, and connecting users and restaurants through tokens. We also plan to further develop SynchroLife's artificial intelligence capabilities to give users more personalized recommendations and content. SynchroCoin Token Crowdsale

The SynchroCoin (SYC) token crowdsale will begin on August 16, 2017 at 12:00 noon GMT and last for four weeks, ending September 13, 2017 at 11:59 AM GMT. SynchroCoin is a ERC20 token, based on Ethereum. Of the total 100,000,000 SynchroCoin tokens issues, 55% (55,000,000) will be sold during the crowdsale. Payment will be accepted in Ether (ETH).

All funds raised during the token crowdsale will be stored in a multisignature wallet.

The minimum number of Ether (ETH) that can be contributed is 0.01 ETH. There is no maximum contribution limit.

This token crowdsale does not have a preset price for the value of one SynchroCoin token. The total issues 55,000,000 SynchroCoin tokens will be divided by the amount of ETH contributed during the four weeks of the token crowdsale. The 55,000,000 SynchroCoin tokens will be divided amongst token crowdsale participants in the following manner.

At the end of the token crowdsale, all of the SynchroCoin (SYC) tokens will be distributed amongst all participants based on the amount of ETH each individual participant contributed during the token crowdsale (including any relevant bonuses) as follows:

Number of SYC Tokens distributed to a participant = a*(55,000,000/c)

a = Total ETH contributed by a participant during the token crowdsale
c = Total ETH contributed by all participants during the token crowdsale

Please note, there will be a time based bonus for participants also.

First 24 hours: 20% Premium Bonus

There will be 100,000,000 SynchroCoin tokens issued, and allocated as follows:

SynchroLife business: 9,500,000 (9.5%)

The 9.5% of tokens allocated for the SynchroLife business will be used for marketing incentives or campaigns to get new users, to grow the SynchroLife team, for future partnerships, and for the company’s growth over the next 5 years.

The 9.5% of tokens allocated for the SynchroLife team, advisors, and partners will be used to reward the team for the further development of the SynchroLife platform. These SynchroCoin tokens will be locked for 1 year.

SynchroCoin Liquidity
SynchroCoin will be an ERC-20 type token which is currently accepted at the majority of major cryptocurrency exchanges. The SynchroLife team will contact such exchanges and will try to get the SynchroCoin listed on major cryptocurrency exchanges around the world to allow SynchroCoin holders to sell their SynchroCoin tokens on the market once they are transferrable.

Development & UI/UX Design: 40%

All funds raised during the crowdsale will be held in a multisignature wallet with escrow. We are still in discussion with an escrow service but will announce the details of the arrangement soon on our official website and social media. We will also try to update this post at that time.

Current Mobile App

We have been testing a beta version of the SynchroLife platform (without blockchain and the SynchroCoin token) in Japan and have just begun opening it up to the world. During this beta release we have already gathered over 30,000 users! Users have rated over 77,000 unique restaurants in Japan and have posted over 300,000 photos of the food, menu, interior and exterior of restaurants throughout Japan. We believe that the user engagement and contribution seen through gamification during the beta release will grow with the introduction of tokens and the switch to a decentralized platform, and that the SynchroLife team can work together with users to create a global and successful token-based economy within the platform.
