I just came across this.
Many are having issues with Coinmarketcap.com. Between glitches and getting a lot of the data wrong, some people would prefer to use another feed. The fact that this was one of the first sites to offer across the board cryptocurrency pricing gave it the first mover advantage.
John McAfee certainly is controversial. Some love the guy while others cannot stand him. Personally, I am rather neutral on him. Nevertheless, if you do not want to give clicks to coinmarketcap, McAfee provides an alternative.
McAfeemarketnews.com is a site that is very similar it coinmarket. It provides real time pricing on most of the publicly traded coins. It appears to pull from different sources to get the pricing.
The layout mirrors coinmarketcap. Simply enter the coin in the search (or scroll down if a first page token). As you can see, most of the data is contained right here.
Click on the token and this is what comes up.
There are a variety of links that you can go to including the latest blocks and the source code. Some of these do not seem available on coinmarketcap.
Obviously there are some things missing. I do not know how long this site is up or what the future plans are. Will they add more features to it as they go along? McAfee has his hands in so many things, who knows.
The point here is there is an alternative to some quick pricing if one does not like coinmarketcap.
It is just another resource available to us.
