For many years, lots of 'sharing' platforms have emerged but are they really beneficial when we use them? People have to pay so much fee in order to get a quality work of sharing. Old sharing platforms are usually using a model called 'Business to Customer'. In this sharing model, there is the customer on one side who is seeking for an asset and on the other side, there is the platform that is selling assets or providing services. They build trust and people buy directly from that platform, but they pay a good amount of fee. Some of the car rental companies can be an example of this type.
The current model that people use is called P2P (peer to peer) Sharing Economy 1.0. Asset owner and the asset seeker both have access to market and they have to pay some amount of fee to be able to search for the asset they need or to be able to find a buyer for their assets. It is called a 'service fee' and those fees may go up so high that it won't be beneficial for both sides to use that platform!
Sharing assets in a centralized way need a strong and reliable platform. We got many platforms like this that we use in our lives. Low fees would attract more people to the platform and that platform or market would have more profit!
A perfect example of this kind of business is Airbnb or Uber! Everyone is aware of those cool platforms and millions of people use it just because they have built a reliable centralized platform in order to connect people in need!
The money collected from both sides are kept in that centralized platform and the service or asset provider gets the money directly from that platform. It created a better use of funds because you can avoid scammers with the security measures of those platforms and your money will not be lost, and it will be kept until a good service is provided!
