PEER ATLAS: free online medical encyclopedia

In today’s globalized society of Internet technologies information becomes publicly available. Despite this, there is a problem of accessing to the latest results of medical advances.Acсess to online platforms of medical intelligence known as paywalls remains still paid. Medical care is expensive around the world, so overpayment for information is unethical.The Atlas team considered this situation to be impermissible in relation to people who need care. But Peer Atlas project based on blockchain technology will change the idea of the system. It will make information about novel treatments, treatment tools and research available for medical stuff and wide audience.

Conceptual issues

Peer Atlas is online medical encyclopedia with open source. The idea of the scheme is that free medical care is available to everyone. Project concept involves the simultaneity of 2 work streams for the benefit of the project:

authors of useful articles in the opinion of the society will make a contribution to Atlas;
users of the site will be able to accumulate medical education credits (CME) that can be exchanged for Atlas tokens.

Information in the system will be checked by experienced professional team of doctors, so low-quality content will not be used.The Atlas team creates a website where consultations, chatting will be possible. The site will be compatible with all mobile devices and browsers for full interaction.An urgent tactical task for the team after crowdfunding finish is the staff expansion of skilled programmers. They will optimize the site, create mobile applications. Atlas strategic is decentralization of management based on holdings. At the same time, project will host its own blockchain with the dBFT methodology from NEO company. Healthcare providers will have their own system nodes.

Payment and income

Project does not plan to make money on advertising or have business with pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers of medicines. The Atlas team considers such activity to be unethical in the medical field.The Atlas team engaged doctors for its funds for the primary information base. In the future, the founders plan to pay for the work of doctors from contributions and investments.

Support will be implemented in such ways:
Experts publish their materials, such as: articles, algorithms, health practices, advances in understanding of medicine.
Everyone will be able to purchase, hold and control Atlas tokens.
Tokens can be sent as a contribution to the development of the scheme.
During the using of web site, HME credits will accrue. They can be changed to Atlas tokens.

Project plans to become completely independent of holdings and investments. The web site employees’ salary will be stable and not depend on the volume and quality of the content.

Token Metrics

Tokens sale is available to all. Tokens NEP-5 will be issued after Smart contract release in the NEO blockchain.

Project plans to emit 100,000,000 Atlas tokens. Their quantity will be fixed. Tokens can be divided up to 0,0001 Atlas and turned over. Early investments’ rate is 1 Atlas = $0,20 USD. The founders reserve the right to small change in tokens structure.

The distribution of tokens:

30% owned by the Peer Atlas foundation. These tokens will unfreeze by 10,000,000 at 3, 36, 120 months after ICO.
3% will be owned by the founders. They will be unlocked after 12 months.
67% tokens will be offered for sale, 17% of which will be selected by pre-ICO investors, 50% will remain for crowdsale.
