In this video the attempt is to make analogies to traditional ways of interacting with currency, to provide easier ways of looking at the crypto-market. I find it easy to view and explain it as a blend of ancient and modern, a contemporary mixture of the value of precious metals, tangibility and transaction-ease of fiat, and complexity of foreign exchange of currencies (FOREX), as well as the technical aspects of ETFs, options, futures, etc. Much like purchasing a currency of another country can gain you some return upon exchanging back to your original currency, so can crypto-assets do same, with the added feature of being able to transact between crypto-assests as opposed to trading back to USD as you would have to, in order to buy a different ETF in traditional markets, which may be one of the reasons why "they" decided to make every trade a taxable event.
We do not discuss the blockchain or individual projects, rather zoom out a bit and try and make sense of the valuation, means of exchange, and process of attainment with regards to the crypto-world. This is obviously a very short video with limited information, more videos will be coming to elaborate and expand on these ideas.
