I'm 11 days away from reaching 55 years old, so as I get older I look at things pragmatically based off my experiences including wins and losses.
I feel that one of my biggest obstacles was getting a better than good handle on my health and fitness. I'll never be a Mr. Olympian, but I'm pretty much coming out of my yearly physicals with very little concerns; which is all I can ever ask for. So that obstacle is well-handled.
My career has never been one to celebrate, but I'm at a good place. I work from home, make a decent salary to contribute to the household and we keep afloat and that's all I can ever ask for. That obstacle is holding steady.
The one mission that is crucial for me is retirement and later in life, financial, location and time freedom; which hinges on my successes through my affiliate marketing and investing endeavors. None of which, I'm taking lightly.
The tricky part is putting in the time and work to allow for future gains and not getting ahead of myself to spend more than I save.
I believe the downfall of many who come online wanting to earn their way into riches are already at a disadvantage, because of that train of thought of big money and fast money. It's not one's fault when you see all the falsehoods and tricks people use to make folks think that it is easily possible.
When and only when you go through the trenches and lose way more than you win is that dose of reality that comes into play, especially when you want to earn an income online.
Of course, if I knew then what I know now it would all be gravy for me today.
