Found this clip from Office Space! I love that movie!
The first time I saw it I was working in my corporate job after graduate school. It didn't really start having a meaning for me until two years in. That was when the _ _ _ _ started hitting the fan. That was when I was forced into a position that I had no intention of ever having to be in. I was forced into being a supervisor to two direct reports who didn't want to do the job that I had enjoyed for the two years before they got there. I was a book cataloger. It was fun and I was making pretty good money doing it. The most I had ever made in my life up to that point. After I was a supervisor (they called it team leader) Mondays came way too quickly and Fridays seemed to never arrive.
I can now appreciate this scene from Office Space from more than one perspective. First to appreciate that I am working for myself and never again have to deal with office politics and two because I am working for myself and never have to hate Mondays again.
Enjoy the clip and if you get a chance to see the entire movie and haven't yet I highly recommend it. Probably not if you have kids in the house. Wait till they aren't around. The language is not for kids.
