I remember as if it were today when I was in England and I didn't want to know anything of what everyone wants to know about the United Kingdom. Manchester, London and some iconic places of this country with so much history, so much war and so much blood. I wanted to know it, but I am one of those who think that countries to know its essence go to the big cities or its great icons do not represent it and not really know the essence of those lands.
So although I know many capitals, and I am very grateful for that, the truth is that I like to go to the most remote areas because there I find and understand a little more of their culture.
There is an area called Shropshire just outside Birmingham, it would be 3 or 4 hours by car. There I found a castle that I was told was there very beautiful, where around it a small village was gestated that what it had of small it had multiplied of beautiful. And where I found a very warm hospitality.
In the vicinity of this village I found a very beautiful river in which no one found and that gives a lot of wildlife. Surrounded by forests I found a tale of elves and fairies where any story can emerge there. Houses with entrances full of vegetation and with beautiful columns of apple trees in many blocks, as well as 2 or 3 bars.
I discovered there besides a lot of nature a coming behind walls that were hidden like a story that nobody wanted to be told. Like a living treasure. I met with adjoining alleys that keep secrets, also with customs and endless stories that deserve to be told.
In these lands I found camaraderie, joy and a rhythm of life that is not what the cities offer. A different accent between men and women where the clearest word to understand is Yes, or No. Where there are few tattoos, they are more conservative but not completely closed. I found many young people who want to live there and at the same time make these corners grow, without superpowering them, but showing their virtues and showing how good they are.
Contrasts between bricks and old gray stones on the walls and nature so intense and colorful with so much character, cut the gray sky that blends with the stones and make everything look so dim and sad as it usually happens in these lands. I found a very beautiful surprise to discover that it is not only gray, fish and chips, beer and Beatles. It is the real England.

Me acuerdo como si fuera hoy cuando estuve en Inglaterra y no quería saber nada de lo que todos quieren conocer de Reino Unido. Manchester, Londres y algunos lugares icónicos de este país con tanta historia, con tanta guerra y tanta sangre. Yo tenía ganas de conocerla, pero soy de los que piensa que los países para conocer su esencia ir a las grandes ciudades o sus grandes iconos no la representan y no poder realmente conocer la esencia de esas tierras.
Entonces aunque conozco muchas capitales, y agradezco mucho eso, lo cierto es que me gusta ir a las zonas más alejadas porque ahí encuentro y entiendo un poco más su cultura.
Hay una zona que se llama Shropshire a las afueras de Birmingham, serían 3 o 4 horas de auto. Allí encontré un castillo que me dijeron que se encontraba allí muy hermoso, en donde alrededor de él se gestaba un pequeño pueblo que lo que tenía de pequeño lo tenía multiplicado de hermoso. Y en donde encontré una hospitalidad muy cálida.
En las cercanías de este pueblo me encontré con un río muy hermoso en el cual nadie encontré y que da un montón de vida silvestre. Rodeado de bosques me encontré con un cuento de duendes y hadas en donde cualquier historia puede surgir allí. Casas con entradas llenas de vegetación y con hermosas columnas de árboles manzanos en muchas cuadras, así como también 2 o 3 bares.
Descubrí allí además de mucha naturaleza un viniendo detrás de unas murallas que estaban escondidos como un cuento que nadie quería que fuera contado. Como un tesoro viviente. Me encontré con callejones anejos que guardan secretos, también con costumbres y sin fin de historias que merecen ser contadas.
En estas tierras encontré camaradería, alegría y un ritmo de vida que no es el que las ciudades brindan. Un acento distinto entre hombres y mujeres en donde la palabra más clara de entender es Yes, o No. En donde hay pocos tatuajes, son más conservadores pero no están cerrados del todo. Encontré muchos jóvenes que quieren vivir ahí y al mismo tiempo hacer crecer estos rincones, sin superpoderarlos, sino mostrando sus virtudes y haciendo ver que tan buenos son.
Contrastes entre ladrillos y grises antiguos de las piedras en sus paredes y la naturaleza tan intensa y de colores con tanto carácter, cortaban el cielo gris que se mezcla con las piedras y hacen ver todo tan tenue y triste como suele pasar por esas tierras. Encontré una sorpresa muy hermosa al descubrir que no es solo gris, fish and chips, cerveza y Beatles. Es la verdadera Inglaterra.
