Overnight Dodge revealed the 2018 lineup of Ram trucks and the 3500 is once again the class leader in torque. Its no suprise they continued the legacy of the 6.7 Cummins engine as its notorious for its longevity. Higher fuel flow and higher boost allowed for a 30ft/lb increase in torque, 930ft/lb of torque and the new AISIN 6 speed automatic transmission make this the most powerful and effecient Ram 3500 to date! Dodge could have stopped there but instead they created a masterpiece of a 5th wheel hitch, the new hitch allows for a class leading 30,000 lb 5th wheel to be towed, thats 8,000 lbs heavier than a 2017 Chevy 3500 Duramax is rated for and 2,500 lbs heavier than the new 6.7 F350 that Ford offers. If you're like me and are in the market for a new truck you might be a little baffled by the options, all three trucks are over 900ft/lb of torque from the factory, all three look better than they ever have and they all cost as much as a small house in Missouri! I personally dont think there is a wrong choice, get out there and test drive all three and make the choice for yourself! It wont be long and well have factory trucks in the 1000ft/lb range with no mods at all, i cant wait to see whats next! Until next time thanks for your attention! -Jeff
