I haven't been...
I haven't been hanging around the kitchen table much lately and I need to do that more often. Some great conversations have been known to take place there and a lot of good information gets shared there.
On Friday I spent a few minutes at the kitchen table and a good friend had left something for me to look at on the table.
In my sixty four...
In my sixty four years of life I’ve seen some pretty low life behavior from all sorts of people, but what I looked at Friday morning has to be some of lowest of the low.
These protests over the George Floyd killing have brought out the absolute worst in some folks and this was clearly on display in the video clip I was left to watch by my good friend @bigtom13 .
There was a ....
There was a gang of low lives armed with sharp knives or some type of “shank” and was puncturing the tires of cars causing several hundreds of dollars in damage to each vehicle.
Not just a tire per car; but all four tires leaving the owners of the cars with no way to move them other than having them towed. This type of vandalism is lower than the folks looting the stores in my opinion; at least the looters have some type of material gain in mind when they are looting. What goes through the mind of people who just want to destroy other people’s belongings?
That question I....
That question I just asked is an especially important one. You’ll see by watching the video that these people are clearly mentally disturbed to be doing this type of behavior.
All the vehicles they attacked were unoccupied; I wonder if they would have acted the same way if the owners were nearby or in the vehicles? It is a good thing that people with cell phone cameras were able to get actual video film footage of these thugs committing these crimes because these people should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
This crime took...
This crime took place in Minneapolis and I hope that the city council there has a chance to review these tapes and demand a full investigation since the city will (or should) be responsible for the damages.
That question of what goes " through the minds" of these people is (or should be) of great concern for both the city council and the citizens because this gang of thugs are the ones who are supposed to be upholding the law.
A person could....
A person could almost make a case for having to “disable” a vehicle during a riot to keep a driver from plowing through a crowd of protesters if the car was occupied and the driver wasn’t listening to the cops’ orders.
There is no excuse though for going through the parking lots of stores and disabling all the vehicles that seemed to be legally parked on private property.
The cop who...
The cop who murdered George Floyd has really pulled back the curtain on police behavior so to speak; right now everyone is focused on police behavior and rightfully so.
I have said on many occasions that the police are nothing more than criminal street gangs and I stand by that statement. Sure there are some good cops and we’ve been told that there are a few bad apples in every basket but more and more I think it is the other way around.
I am all...
I am all for police reform but my idea of police reform is putting these criminals in jail with the rest of the law breakers for starters. This is no doubt criminal gang activity and in most states that is a felony charge that carries a state prison sentence if convicted.
You can bet there are a lot of folks in the prisons that would really like to have some cops come spend some time locked in a cell with them.
That kind of reform would send a message to these cops that they are to uphold the law and not hide behind their “qualified immunity”.
Special thanks to...
Special thanks to @bigtom13 for turning me on to this video. He knows I like to see our fine police officers doing their work of protecting us and our constitutional rights. I’m not being sarcastic with that previous sentence; I do.
The thing is that those videos are few and far between so I end up watching several videos that people get their rights violated and worse; like George Floyd.
Hey...it is...
Hey… it is Saturday and that means we need to give away some HIVE.
I got a couple new followers this week and I haven’t given new folks some rewards in a while so I guess we’ll start with them. I know nothing about @artemisprime other than the account just registered on HIVE within the last week or so. How they found me I have no clue but I hope that they hang around and get to know me.
Next we have @lyubo19 and he has been on HIVE about a month now. I went and checked out his page and he is from Bulgaria. I got a good laugh looking at one of his posts and he must be doing something right because he has quickly went from the starting REP of 25 and is at 53 already. In fact the whole REP thing to me is also flawed but I really don’t give a rats ass about it.
I just know it took me a hell of lot longer than a month to get to 53 and I’m not much higher than that right now.
I really don’t have any more new followers that I can reward right now so I’ll give my third selection this week to another friend who was at the kitchen table on Friday and that is @cecicastor .
She had watched the video and made the comment that she expects that kind of behavior from “the men in black” in the country where she lives but not in the USA.
I hated to break the news to her but in all honesty we are as much of third world country as the one she lives in. That might make some of you angry with me for saying that but I can sure point to a hell of a lot more things as evidence of that statement than you can point to too make an argument against it.
Hopefully we can get this old ship, (the USA), back in shipshape and set it on a course for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness again. Wouldn’t that be a great thing?
Damn, I forgot to put the link to the video so you can watch it
Also if you would like to hang out at the kitchen table let me know and I’ll get you a key so you can come and go as you please.
Until next time,
Sult
