Back in my youth I enjoyed music, but not so much anymore now. However, when I do get in the mood to listen to music I find myself going back to the ‘60’s and ‘70’s era for songs to listen too.
Just like any other teenager of the day I had my favorite singers or groups that I listened too and one of the singers was a good looking young woman named Carly Simon.
How many of you remember Carly Simon?

She was at the top of my list when it came to female vocalists. Her voice was mesmerizing to me and her lyrics were somewhat “edgy” in a few of her songs.
On Sunday afternoon I was in the mood to listen to some music and I found myself on YouTube searching for one of my favorite Carly songs; “Anticipation”.
I must have...
I must have listened to that song a half a dozen times over the course of an hour and then I decided to create a parody song using the music and some of the lyrics.
I have not one ounce of musical talent so don’t look for me to release of version with actual singing or the music. I will though give you the parody words below and also a link to Carly’s song so you can listen to her song and read along to my wording of the parody.
If know someone who is female with musical talent that you think could actually put these parody lyrics to the music from Carly’s song “Anticipation” I would encourage you to send them a link to at least check this out.

I’m making no claim of copyright on the parody lyrics so they are free game for whoever wants to use them. As for the rights that Carly has on her work they would have to take that up with her people.
My lyrics are geared with the US government and the IRS in mind in case that you wondered what was meaning behind my title and choice of words.
