Dandruff is a product of scalp shedding. It affects about 40% of people between 18 and 45 years, both women and men. The main causes of dandruff are
STRESS:
An important cause of the appearance of dandruff is related to stress . Stress produces numerous adrenaline discharges that stimulate the activity of the sebaceous glands, thus producing excess sebum that irritates the skin.
THE YOUNG AGE:
Often dandruff appears during adolescence. Also in this case, the cause must be sought in an imbalance in the production of hormones, which urge the sebaceous glands to work harder, causing excessive production of sebum that irritates the skin.
THE CHANGE IN SEASON:

EXCESS OF CELLS:
In most cases, dandruff is not a disease of the scalp, but only an alteration of the regeneration processes of its cells . It is often the consequence of a too rapid development of keratinocytes ( an epidermal cell that produces keratin). The cells that form the superficial layer of the skin (epidermis). In some areas of the head, these cells are produced in excess of the rest of the surrounding skin Later. These cells gather together to form small scales clearly visible to the naked eye.
LACK OF HYGIENIC TREATMENT TO HAIR:
Washing your hair with rash chemical shampoo or accumulation of dust and dirt in hair may results in the cause of dandruff. Too much exposure to sunlight also accelerate the rate of dandruff.
THE DANDRUFF CAN BE OF TWO TYPES: DRY AND OILY:
In the first case , the scales are small, very similar to those of dust, and are abundant even after shampooing.In the second case , the scales are larger, often mixed with sebum, and are accompanied by fatty hair and skin. In both cases, dandruff is associated with an annoying itch.
